Schizophrenia Gene Resource 2 (SZGR 2.0) provides a comprehensive online resource for schizophrenia studies. Built in 2009, SZGR curates data from genetics studies, transcriptome studies, and epigenetics studies. Overtime, SZGR has grown from a pure genetics resource to a comprehensive, multi-omics online data house -- a one-stop shop for schizophrenia. Our long term goal is to provide resources and tools for researchers to understand schizophrenia. Our ultimate goal is to improve the life quality of schizophrenia patients and to contribute to successful therapies for patients. Please email us if there are any feedbacks. @Genetics

Genetics studies of schizophrenia, which reported variants and genes that are potentially associated with schizophrenia.

  • Common Variants (CVs)
  • De Novo Mutations (DNMs)
  • Copy Number Variants (CNVs)
  • Linkage studies (LK)

@Transcriptome

Transcriptome studies of schizophrenia patients, especially the brain tissues, which investigated abnormally expressed genes in patients compared to normal controls.

  • Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs)
  • Brain transcriptome features
  • Quantitative Trait Locus (QTL)

Epigenetics

Methylation and microRNA regulation of genes are also risk factors that may impact schizophrenia. We collected genome-wide methylation analysis that reported differentially methylated CpG loci and their related genes. Additional annotation data were collected from methylation QTL studies.

@Translational

Antipsychotic drugs are tranquilizing psychiatric medications primarily used in the treatment of schizophrenia and similar severe mental disorders. We present these drugs and their targets in SZGR.
