Clinical information for GLI1 from My Cancer Genome.
GLI1 family zinc finger 1 (GLI1) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a transcription factor protein. The protein is activated by the sonic hedgehog signal transduction pathway. The protein also plays a role in the regulation of stem cell proliferation. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as intestinal cancer, skin cancer, and stomach cancer.Modified: July 1, 2015
