  • Summary: This dataset is generated by a multi-dimensional evidence-based gene prioritization approach. We performed exhaustive search in a weight-matrix space to find the optimal weight matrix in order to combine four categories of data (association, linkage, expression, and literature). 160 genes are prioritized using the meta-analysis results in Lewis et al. (2003)

  • We collected schizophrenia related miRNAs, brain expressed miRNAs and non-brain expressed miRNAs from miRNA expression publications. Specifically, we chose 18 miRNAs which have been identified differentially expressed in brain cortex of schizophrenia patients comparing with control samples using microarray by two researches (Perkins et al. 2007 and Beveridge et al. 2008) respectively. We then used TargetScan (Version 4.2, http://www.targetscan.org/vert_42/) to predict miRNA targets in the GR_WM genes, as shown by the figure.
